Biography

Lexi Takamatsu is a California-qualified international arbitration specialist based in Tokyo, Japan, with particular experience in commercial and joint-venture disputes in the Asia region. She has played leading roles in several bet-the-company arbitrations at our firm, including as the lead senior associate in a billion-dollar joint venture dispute in Korea. Before joining Mori Hamada & Matsumoto, Lexi was an integral part of the litigation and arbitration team at Morrison Foerster Tokyo, and also spent significant time on secondment to a major Japanese automotive company’s headquarters. Lexi is an active member in the Tokyo Daini Bar Association’s committee on arbitration, and can communicate in Japanese at a professional level.
