International Commercial Arbitration Law and Practice: A Deep Dive

January 18 - January 19

This Webinar has been developed specifically for busy American litigators, in-house counsel, academics and neutrals looking for an intensive orientation in international arbitration and how it differs, in legal and practical terms, from U.S. domestic practice.

In just two half-days, attendees of this time-and-cost-efficient Webinar will become generally knowledgeable about the law and practice of international commercial arbitration. Topics covered include: applicable law, arbitrability – including who decides, stays and orders compelling arbitration, the administration of an international case with a focus on ICDR practices, effective cross-examination technique in international proceedings, ethical obligations of counsel and arbitrators, the form and content of awards designed to support international enforcement efforts, confirmation and set aside of awards, and enforcement under the New York Convention (Chapter 2, Federal Arbitration Act).
