Biography

Diana Kruze is a mediator, arbitrator, special master and discovery referee, focusing on complex IP, business, employment, technology, and health care disputes.

She has successfully resolved multi-million dollar cases around the world and has extensive experience in intellectual property (trade secret, copyright and patent), health care, biotech and pharmaceuticals, Cannabis, data breach/cybersecurity, telecommunications and satellite technology. Diana has also served as a discovery referee in countless cases, saving parties time and money by facilitating practical compromise and harnessing technology to reduce ESI burden.

Prior to becoming a mediator, Diana was a full-time judicial officer with the California Superior Court, where she presided over civil cases and discovery matters, ranging from breach of contract to employment to real estate disputes. Diana also presided over the restraining order calendar, and is known for her patience and ability to quickly diffuse high-emotion conflicts. As a former judicial officer, Diana has hands-on experience crafting well-reasoned legal opinions after careful consideration of all arguments and the governing law.
