Biography

Ellen Kim is Founder and Principal of Cadenza Resolutions and Advisory, LLC, a firm dedicated to mediation, arbitration, executive coaching, and strategy consulting. Previous to this, she has experience as an attorney for various Fortune 500 companies in the technology sector. Her work has encompassed intellectual property enforcement and portfolio management, privacy law, regulatory compliance, marketing, and risk mitigation. Most recently, she was Corporate Counsel at Workday where she negotiated contracts in complex commercial transactions on behalf of the sales organization. Ellen was also a 2024-2025 JAMS Fellow, where she received training and mentorship from leading neutrals at the world's largest private alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider.

Ellen is also a Career Development/ Executive Coach at Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business with the graduate business students, where she provides 1-1 coaching in career design to the next generation of business leaders. She also is a career coach to attorneys looking to pivot and define their next with greater intentionality.

Additionally, Ellen is a board member of the Asian Law Alliance, a non-profit legal services organization in Santa Clara County, California, dedicated to providing free, multilingual, and culturally sensitive legal help for low-income Asian/ Pacific Islanders in areas including housing, immigration, public benefits, domestic violence and civil rights. She is also a board member of the Asian Women Coaching Collective, a non profit focused on catalyzing Asian women coaches to provide culturally attentive coaching to foster professional, personal, and leadership development.
