Biography

Shaia Araghi is an associate in the International Arbitration and Litigation Practice Group at BakerHostetler LLP in Costa Mesa, California.

Shaia represents clients in cross-border disputes in the United States, complex commercial arbitrations, and Section 1782 discovery proceedings. She has also engaged in efforts to collect foreign discovery in connection with BakerHostetler LLP's representation of Trustee Irving H. Picard for the SIPA liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC and is a member of the Foreign Discovery Committee in connection with the SIPA liquidation.

Shaia is actively involved in the field of international arbitration and litigation within California and is a member of CalArb's Planning Committee.

Shaia's background includes business litigation, international disputes, construction, intellectual property, cybersecurity, insurance, appellate, government, environmental and land use matters.
