California International Arbitration Week – 14-18 March 2022.

Thanks to the members of California Arbitration and the California Lawyers Association (CLA) – the Bar Association for California lawyers – the first annual California International Arbitration Week (CIAW) was held 14-18 March 2022. Over 1250 practitioners from 80 countries around the world have registered!

California International Arbitration Week consists of a series of programs presented under the direction of leading international arbitration institutions and other  international ADR organizations. The event will be presented through a week-long series of virtual/hybrid programs. Programming will focus around the theme of international arbitration in California.

Presenters include the American Arbitration Association/International Centre for Dispute Resolution (AAA/ICDR); Arbitral Women; Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC); California Arbitration (CalArb); California Lawyers Association (CLA); CPR International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (CPR); Chartered Institute of Arbitrators – North American Branch (CIArb); College of Commercial Arbitrators (CCA); FedArb; Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC); ICC International Court of Arbitration (ICC); JAMS; KCAB International (KCAB); London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA); Japan Commercial Arbitration Association (JCAA); Silicon Valley Arbitration & Mediation Center (SVAMC); Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA); Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), Straus Institute/Pepperdine and USC. California practitioners will be included in each of the programs.

The CLA Litigation Section International ADR Committee is coordinated the programming and is worked with presenting organizations on program formats and topics. Each of the programs included California practitioners as speakers.

California Arbitration is supported the CLA and presenting organizations in promoting California International Arbitration Week and providing guidance on program development and potential speakers. Thanks to the many CIAW sponsors, registration was free.
